Nichiren Daishonin assures us: "What sickness can therefore be an obstacle?" The Mystic Law is the excellent medicine of life. So let's chant daimoku like the roar of a lion, and determine to destroy the devil of sickness in our lives!

When we chant for the happiness of our friends, our life condition is elevated to the Buddha's. Let's unceasingly share this ultimate unsurpassed Law of Life, without even sparing our voices!* Let's open up the palace of our own lives and help others to do the same.
The more we study Nichiren Daishonin's writings, the more strength we develop to open up our own lives. The more we support those who strive to study Nichiren Buddhism, the more we accumulate the “treasures of the heart" in our own lives. Together with our noble fellow members, throughout our lifetime, let’s advance along this certain course towards happiness!
Seikyo Shimbun and all our other SGI publications are helping to convey a hope-filled philosophy into our local communities and society. Let's therefore express our wholehearted appreciation and deep respect to all of those members who are constantly making a great effort to promote the circulation of these publications!
People who don’t forget to appreciate and respect those around them are truly noble and praiseworthy individuals. Such a humble and unassuming attitude causes fragrant flowers of trust and confidence to bloom in abundance.
For all newly appointed leaders, remember that the start is most crucial. With actions that are based on the spirit of challenging an earnest, win or lose struggle, let’s generate waves of advancement! Stand up with a fresh new determination and resolve!
The first and foremost thing to do in order to raise capable successors in faith, is to take action together. At the same time it is important to praise change and development wholeheartedly. With a warmth that really connects us heart to heart, let’s build indestructible castles of capable and talented individuals in our local communities!
The Daishonin writes: “The greater the hardships befalling him, the greater the delight he feels, because of his strong faith."* Hardships provide us with the opportunity to improve and grow! Each and everyday, let’s do all we can to break through the shells of our self-imposed limitations, and advance joyfully and enthusiastically!
SGI Buddhist study exams are very important in helping us to strengthen our seeking spirit. The Daishonin encourages us, "Exert yourself in the two ways of practice and study."* Let's study together and help each other to make even greater growth. Let’s encourage one another so that each and every one of us becomes a champion of this faith and practice!
