The Daishonin urges us, "Employ the strategy of the Lotus Sutra before any other.” Those who continue to chant daimoku, no matter what, never experience deadlock. Let’s take on an anything and everything through using our faith!
Translation of "To My Friends" published in the Seikyo Shimbun, based on President Ikeda's recent guidance, with universal value and application
A profound bow of appreciation to the strenuous efforts of our MD/WD group leaders! Through your steadfast faith and actions, be role models that inspire your fellow members!
The Daishonin encourages us to respect one another as we would the Buddha. Let’s praise each other, from the heart, for our selfless devotion and valiant struggles (for the sake of kosen-rufu)! Together, let’s stride ahead brimming with joy!
We have daimoku! We have the bond of mentor and disciple! We have perfect unity! Together with our treasured fellow members, based on "Many in Body but United in Mind" spirit, let’s bravely advance, with absolutely no fear at all!
Buddhism teaches, “'Joy' means that oneself and others together experience joy." There is no happiness that concerns only oneself similarly there is no misery that only others suffer from. Let's spread bonds of trust and respect to every corner of society!
It’s nigh on always young people’s enthusiasm and passion that creates a new history. Today also, my dear friends, with resolved determination and fresh new resilience, put all your might into whatever it is you are aiming to achieve!
Each one of us is a protagonist for kosen-rufu! With this conviction and assurance, let's build heart to heart bonds as we strive together towards our goals. With the spirit to not leave even a single person behind, let’s build our solidarity for happiness and victory!
The Daishonin teaches, “The wise will rejoice while the foolish will retreat.” Joyfully arousing our spirits, let’s strike back against the gales of adversity beating down upon us! Together, let’s build a life that we can be proud of!
From our districts let's take a great leap forwards and make a breakthrough in our efforts for kosen-rufu! District leaders (MD/WD), always remember that it’s your strong determination and resolve that opens the door to a new era! Please take the lead in inspiring everyone with hope!
If Buddhism is about victory or defeat, then in that case, a half-hearted attitude is one’s greatest enemy. First make a vow, then challenge yourself to fulfil that vow! Those who continue to put forth their best effort, to the very end, no matter what happens, are adorned with shining glorious victories in life.
