Translation of "To My Friends" published in the Seikyo Shimbun, based on President Ikeda's recent guidance, with universal value and application
Our district men’s and women’s leaders are the suns of hope and trust. “Welcome to our district!” Calling out such greetings, let’s hold discussion meetings alight with joy! Let’s advance, united with the bonds of the Soka family.
Let’s carefully look after those members who cannot physically be present at meetings! It’s only by making steady efforts to listen to their worries and concerns and offering warm encouragement that the solidarity of hope is expanded and developed!
Let’s treasure our youth. Let’s trust in the abilities of our young people. And let's wholeheartedly support and encourage them. I hope that none of us will ever forget this vital key on our journey for kosen-rufu!
Let’s spend time studying the Gosho together with our fellow members who are new to the practice! It’s by constantly studying the basics that we are able to forge a strong indomitable faith. Let’s continue to challenge ourselves each and every day!
The flower of happiness blooms from an earth of patience and perseverance. "Watch me. I will definitely show actual proof!" Burning with such an indomitable burning spirit, let's move forwards, no matter what happens!
If we have the type of passive attitude of "I will do it only if I have to," we will never manifest our full potential. Instead therefore, let’s make up our minds that “I’m the one who will take full responsibility, ” and challenge ourselves so that we can open up a path to victory and success!
"Let's make our district the greatest solidarity of capable and talented people in Japan (and in the world)!" Chanting daimoku with such a strong determination is the key to development and progress. By putting our hearts together towards achieving kosen-rufu, let's build a fresh new solidarity of the Bodhisattvas of the Earth!
There will not be 'To My Friends' on this day. We will return tomorrow.
“I will advance with my mentor, no matter what!" It’s from such an unyielding solid vow that boundless strength comes forth. Those who live out their lives with this determination, to the end, will shine with true glory and victory!
