Let's offer word of praise and warm encouragement to all those young people who are striving to share this Buddhism with others! At the same time, let’s encourage and support, with all our hearts, those newly joined young individuals. SGI has always been and will always be victorious by having and fostering capable people.
Translation of "To My Friends" published in the Seikyo Shimbun, based on President Ikeda's recent guidance with universal value and application
Let’s be careful about fires in this dry season. Let’s especially make sure not to leave any flammable things around and avoid piggybacking electrical outlets. At the same time, let’s double check all fire sources both inside and outside the home. Let’s use our wisdom and take every possible precaution! It’s vital that meetings be filled with freshness. Let's not neglect to focus on careful preparation and creative imaginative ideas. Let's make our meetings the kind of gatherings where those who attend are glad they came and go home with a renewed sense of resolve to “go for it!” The key to helping people become capable responsible people is to support and praise them in their efforts and help them to cultivate their strengths. It’s important to get to know our fellow members well and to wholeheartedly encourage them in a way that will penetrate and move their hearts! We unleash our strengths when we persist in our endeavours. Every small step we take and every effort we make to keep advancing, even if it is a little, helps us to get closer to a glorious victory. Let’s win by leaving no room for regrets in what we do today! Every one of those who is studying hard for the upcoming Buddhist study introductory exam is a light of hope for the new era. It’s our seeking spirit that elevates our life condition. It’s through studying that we deepen our wisdom. Together, let’s all experience the joy of our faith and practice! Our efforts to talk to others about this Buddhism is an action of planting seeds of happiness in their hearts. Based on always chanting daimoku for their happiness, first and foremost, let’s do our very best to share this philosophy with the utmost sincerity! The Mystic Law is the law where both cause and effect exist together simultaneously (in a single moment of life). All of our current efforts and struggles cause the roots of happiness and benefit to spread firmly and deeply in our lives. Let’s advance by embracing conviction and confidence! We're getting into that chilly time of year. I am sincerely praying that all of our Seikyo Shimbun and other SGI publication deliverers stay healthy and accident free. May you all, our great noble uncrowned heroes and heroines, be absolutely happy and victorious! Despite our most pressing and chaotic schedules, let’s always create some time to read! A person who continues to learn has a certain spark in their spirit and ways. Spend each day trying to develop and make steady improvements! |
