*On April 2, 1958, Josei Toda, the Soka Gakkai's second president, died.
On May 3, 1951, Josei Toda was inaugurated as the second Soka Gakkai president.
On the same day in 1960, Daisaku Ikeda was inaugurated as the third Soka Gakkai president.
